Ementa:
Grupos, subgrupos, homomorfismos e grupos quocientes, grupos de permutação e ação de grupos, grupos livres e apresentações de grupos. Séries de Composição, séries centrais, grupos nilpotentes, grupos simples, grupos solúveis, decomposição direta. Anéis, subanéis, ideais, homomorfismos e anéis quocientes. Tópicos em Álgebra: Grupos abelianos, grupos de torção e grupos divisíveis, subgrupos puros e p-puros, grupos livres de torção; Radical de Jacobson, estrutura dos anéis semi-simples, anéis de grupo e o problema da J-semi-simplicidade; Módulos sobre álgebras de dimensão finita; Representações de grupos e módulos sobre álgebras de grupos.
